Stress, poor health, drugs, pollution, diet, childbirth; even the shampoos and products we use on our hair, can cause scalp problems that sometimes lead to hair loss, if left unattended. This is why correct diagnosis is essential. It is no use treating a man for male pattern hair loss if he is suffering from some form of Alopecia brought on by stress!
Each problem that is diagnose, needs its own specialised form of treatment and I will always recommend that one should either visit a registered Trichologist (always look for their certificate) or, if possible, visit The Belgravia Trichological Centre in Victoria, London SW1, where I, or one of my colleagues are always available to offer help and advice. The Balgravia Centre will usually recommend a Trichocheck initially. This entails a thorough examination of the hair and scalp by a qualified Trichologist, coast just 10 and takes about 20 minutes. A Trichocheck will clearly identify any hair or scalp problem or potential problem, so that any appropriate treatment course can be safely recommend.
